Use the previousSibling property, and loop until it's null.

You could use a generator, if the situation called for it:

  let sibling = element.previousElementSibling;

    sibling = sibling.previousElementSibling;
    yield sibling
  }
}

And then call it as:

const siblingGenerator = sibGen(myElement);
